NBDL Watch: Sean Williams

If you haven't been checking for Sean Williams, you should be because he looks like a changed man playing in the NBDL. Williams' poor attitude/habits towards the game always held him back and turned all NBA teams against him despite his athletic talents.

SMFH ... Anyways the former 1st round pick is averaging close to 16 points, 10 rebounds and 3 block shots per game while shooting 63% from the floor and 73% from the line and it seems like he is starting to turn the corner after spending time in China and Puerto Rico.

He never lacked talent, just lacked the brains to use it. Could be a useful pickup for a team that requires frontcourt/shot blocking assistance.

Orlando Magic Pull Off Major Deal...

... and instantly become my favourite team to play with on NBA 2k11. Imagine a lineup of Howard, Hedo, J-Rich, Arenas and Nelson. I also picked up Gortat in almost all of my fantasy teams.

Interesting trade for the Magic if they all start at once (Howard, Turkoglu, Richardson, Arenas, Nelson). But the problem is they need too many balls on the court because of too many high usage players there on the perimeter. One of Nelson or Arenas will have to accept a reduced role on offense (or come off the bench) or Otis Smith has to move Nelson for more depth/better defensive role players.

Phoenix made out reasonably well. They got a center, although expensive as he is still unproven, and get an overall upgrade. Washington had no other deals/suitors for Arenas so they had to take this one.

Anyways.. here is ESPN's take on it

Kevin Garnett Blocking Shots After Whistle

And if that pisses you off, do what Allen Iverson does...

I'll add in my 2 cents regarding the Magic's recent moves once I see the official release with all the names involved. But pickup Gortat in all your leagues. Chances are he is available on the waiver wire.

ULTRA OT: Best "Massage Parlor" Guide ... EVAR

Not related to basketball at all but its a must read... even if you are never going to go to one of these places ...

*Picture not related

How to Get the Most Out of a Massage Parlor Visit

We've all been there: you find yourself driving by a certain part of town when you see the sign for a "Massage Parlor" or "Asian Spa" in a spot that doesn't obligate a massage parlor or have a single Asian person living nearby, and using your Russell-Crowe-like mind you cracked this code and read the sign as it was intended to be read: "Handjobs ‘R Us."

Instantly your mind is flooded with thoughts: "How much would this sort of thing cost me?" "What do I get?" "Is this illegal?" "Are they all Asian?" You end up putting the thought in the back of your brain where all unlikely sexual scenarios go—until one day.

Maybe you broke up with your girlfriend, maybe you just got paid, or maybe your internet is down, but you find your mind wandering to the thought of the parlor. You decide to walk in... you know... just to research it, and find yourself instantly lost: What do I do? Where do I go? Why are there stains in the lobby?

Fortunately for you, I have researched this subject and can now confidently tell you the proper way to go about getting wanked off.

1. Dress the Part

First of all, avoid a police outfit. You may think it's funny, but the girls certainly won't. You're going to want to wear something that walks the line between "I just stumbled in here" and "I'm prepared to whip out my penis immediately." Shorts and a t-shirt are preferred because they can be taken on and off easily. Button up shirts should be avoided because putting them on while you're absorbed by overwhelming guilt is difficult, and you're likely to miss a button.

Find an Asian Spa near you.As opposed to all those PUBLIC baths we're forced to take, living in Ancient Rome and all.Try not to show off and wear your best clothes because a) You're dealing with whores who don't really care, and b) These types of establishments rarely splurge on luxuries like hooks and hangers for you to store your wardrobe.

Underwear choice is also important. Wear loose-fitting boxers that you won't be embarrassed being seen in (avoid silk, you don't want to look trashier than your "date").
Inner Voice: Alright let's do this, we're getting a rub and tug! Woo!
Penis: Yay!
Inner Voice: Alright so what do we wear? Is this like a formal date?
Penis: Who cares, it's all going on the floor. Know why? Because someone is gonna touch me today!!

2. The New Guy

Picture a wild animal walking into a rave—that's your inspiration for the entire time you're at the parlor. Look around aimlessly—the walls, the ceiling, the floor, anything but the girls working. When you're finally approached and asked if you want a massage, you should simply grunt, nod your head, and continue to look around.

Sometimes you'll be asked if you have ever been to a massage parlor before, in which case you should say no and don't really know how this works. You will be asked how long you want the massage to be, and the secret here is to be as frugal as possible. Pick the lowest price, because that's just the money that goes to the owner (pimp); the girls make money from tips. Don't try to be suggestive at this point, because you're just going to come off looking like an idiot, and God forbid the escort doesn't respect you. When the girl leads you to the room, she'll tell you she needs to go get ready and you should undress and lay down. Take off everything except your boxers and lay face-down and wait for the girl to come back.

Inner Voice: Wow, this place is disgusting, why is the air so damp? Do I want to know?
Penis: Alright, I see ladies. Lots of cleavage too, I'm getting up for this.
Inner Voice: Cool it, act nonchalant, we're being approached.
Whore: Hey there, are you interested in a massage?
You: Um...yeah sure. I'll just take the half hour massage, what does that include?
Whore: It includes a massage...that's all we do here, is give massages.
Penis: Giggidy!

3. You Do What Here?!

This is the most important part of the procedure. When the girl walks in, you should be relaxed; the fact that you're face down should hide your raging erection caused by the low-cut top she is wearing. As she starts giving you the most half-assed back massage ever, start the small talk with her. Talk about where she's from, where you're from, really anything other than her milking your cock. Brownie points if you tell her to really "get in deep on the shoulders" because of your pickup basketball mishap.

By the time she finishes your rubdown you should be comfortable with her in a masseuse/client type of way. When she hints at the mention of a handjob, do your best "deer-in-a-rave" impression again; scrunch your brow, look around aimlessly, shift in one place, and try to look as uncomfortable as possible. She should pick up on the fact that you really are a rookie at this and will go about explaining the price to you. When she does, look around like you want to leave (start putting on your t-shirt for dramatic effect) and mention something about only having $20. Then watch the magic happen.

Whore: *Random small talk you don't need to listen to*
Penis: When does she touch me?
Inner Voice: Good question, I'm getting tired of listening to her talk about her haircut.
Whore: So, do you want me to touch...down there?
Penis: Jackpot!
You: Um...er...wow...I didn't know...wow...I only have like, $20.

4. **** It, I'm Here Anyway

Ask her to give you a verbal menu, how much everything costs and what you get. You should lament the fact that you only have $20 but since you're here anyway you'll take what you can get. At this point she'll either encourage you to get more money or simply do the job right there because of the rapport you guys have built up.

Most likely, though, she'll want more money. Tell her you're broke and make up another story about how your pet just died or you just sent all of your money to a Nigerian prince. If this fails immediately make sure you display the twenty dollar bill. Escorts aren't like normal humans because their senses are trained to recognize the sight and smell of money and they become physically stimulated by it, causing them to throw caution to the wind. In short, it's like **** opium to them.

Skip the lotions assuredly made in China. She'll succumb eventually and will begin to work her magic. If she's truly pissed you're not giving her more than $20 then prepare for a standard (if magical) wank. If she doesn't mind the pay cut, you may be able to talk her into taking off her top, allowing you to fondle her while she fondles you. It's a win-win! If she gives you the option of lotion or no lotion, choose no lotion—that way you get the most for your money, plus you won't need to worry about her using some knock-off lead-based lotion straight out of China that's going to make your dick explode into hives after twenty minutes.

You: So how much is this going to cost?
Whore: Well it's $40 if you want a handjob and $80 for a blowjob.
You: I really only have the $20 so what are my options?

Scenario 1
Whore: Alright well I guess I can make an exception, just because you're cute.
Penis: Wooooooooooooooooo!!!!

Scenario 2
Whore: Well there's an ATM in the lobby.
You: I know, but this was my last $60. See I got this email that told me that a Nigerian king recently died and his son needed my bank account information to move a few million around. For some reason when I checked my account, everything was cleaned out, but I think it's just temporary. Point is, I don't have any money.
Whore: Your story sounds believable and I will proceed to touch your junk.
Penis: Wooooooooooooooooo!!!!

5. Awkward Aftermath

After you're done she'll most likely throw some paper towels your way and tell you to clean up. Do this quickly and get dressed as if you were a firefighter rushing for a five-alarm blaze after being awoken at 2am. Try to ignore the waves of guilt washing over your body as you do this. A standard "thank you" is appreciated but not compulsory, seeing as how you'll never visit this place again. Walk/sprint out of the parlor while keeping your eyes to the ground and your shoulders square (in case someone gets in your way) and proceed to your car. Feel free to sit in your vehicle for a few minutes to sob quietly to yourself about what your life has become.

Penis: That was fantastic, we should get a membership there or something.
Inner Voice: I...what have I done, oh my god. Why?
Penis: Giggidy.

Happy ending!

Kings Want A PG? Trade Idea!

Just because Jarrett Jack is traded, that doesn't necessarily mean that Jose still has to be on the roster.

The Kings have lost eight of nine games after a strong start to the season.

"We're disappointed," Kings co-owner Joe Maloof said, "but we're not panicking. The defense is much better, and if we start making shots, we'll win some of these games.

"Let's get 25 games into the season and then we'll have a better sense of where we are."

The Kings have inquired about Atlanta's Jeff Teague and Houston's Aaron Brooks, according to a report in The Sacramento Bee.

RealGM: Kings Looking for a PG

Raptors trade:

Jose Calderon

Raptors receive:

Beno Udrih
Jason Thompson

Kings trade:

Beno Udrih
Jason Thompson

Kings
receive:

Jose Calderon

Raptors get a backup PG and this allows Bayless to start and have Beno come off the bench. Also gives them a 4-man in Thompson that has the size to play 5, unlike the Dorsey's/Johnson's/Evans' that are at a disadvantage at 5.

Kings get the best player in the deal (some may disagree, but check advanced stats brehs) and a player that will help facilitate their offense a lot better than it is now, which is basically 1-on-1 play. They also clear up some of the depth issues they had up front.

No real financial negatives for both teams but the Kings do get the more expensive contract in terms dollars per year (although not by that much). So its not a salary dump trade.

TKO! Basketball Player Loses His Cool And KO's Referee

LeBron 'Cursed' By Witch Doctor

WTF.... Like really? Although the Heat lost, mainly because the other two members of the big three were still in Miami, James was the only one that showed up posting 31 points, four rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Don't necessarily think that the 'witch doctor' had any impact on last nights performance. Might have had it on Bosh and Wade though, but they didn't put no curse on them.

I'm far from a Miami Heat fan, but Clevelanders really need to get over it. LeBron James made Cleveland relevant again during his seven years there and the team blatantly tanked to get him. As a free agent, he had the right to go wherever he wanted.

And he still would have received the same amount of backlash even if he didn't do the ESPN show.

Nike LeBron James Commercial: Rise

What should you do? Just STFU and put up the stats you did last year so I can win my fantasy league

Iverson: I'm Taking My Talents to Istanbul, Turkey

Allen Iverson has agreed in principle to sign an incentive-laden, two-year, $4 million contract with Besiktas of the Turkish professional league, sources told Yahoo! Sports on Sunday night.

Iverson plans to sign the contract this week, the sources said, and is expected to report to Besiktas the week of Oct. 31.

Iverson’s contract will give him an opt-out clause after this season. There’s no escape clause during the season for Iverson to leave Turkey and return to the NBA.

Iverson, 35, could make his debut for Besiktas on Nov. 6 in a game against Bornova. Besiktas played its first game of the season on Oct. 19 and is 1-1 in league standings.

Iverson has solicited more lucrative offers to play in China this season, but has been intrigued with the prospects of playing in Istanbul. After controversial exits with his last three franchises – Detroit, Memphis and Philadelphia – Iverson exhausted interest from NBA teams. Despite averaging 26.7 points in his 14-year NBA career, Iverson ran out of opportunities in the league.

Besiktas is considered third among the three most powerful franchises in the Turkish first division. The club has a strong following, and team officials believe Iverson could be an immense gate draw.

Toronto Raptors Life After Chris Bosh

Well judging from the preseason games, and I know its preseason, the reason why everything was centered around Bosh is because ... well... the team is absolute doo-doo without him. Colangelo put together a roster that needs Chris Bosh as opposed to a roster that masks his weaknesses.

And watching Reggie Evans and Andrea Bargnani together makes me feel like I'm repeatedly stabbing myself in the eye with a rusty fork.

Kleiza And The Raptors Go Off In Vancouver

Could it be that Linas Kleiza, leading scorer of the Euroleague last year, be the leading scorer of the Raptors this upcoming season? He is definitely more polished than Bargnani and DeRozan and looks like he will be the most consistent option on the team. 20 points in 20 minutes in a meaningless preseason game. And the new look Raptors looked like a completely different bunch yesterday in Vancouver. Even if they do suck balls, atleast they will be fun to watch.

DeRozan's Cameo Appearance On Master P's Music Video

For those who don't know, DeRozan played on Master P's AAU team that also included rapper Lil' Romeo. Following their respective high school careers, DeRozan committed to USC while Lil' Romeo accepted a scholarship with the Trojans. And for those who have forgotten, Master P was once a member of the Raptors training camp roster back in 1999.

During the 1999 NBA summer league, Percy averaged 24 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Quite the baller for a rap star.

Raptors Still Pursuing Diaw + AK47 To Toronto Trade Idea

With the Nets' deal for Carmelo Anthony dead, at least for now, the Toronto Raptors are again trying to land Charlotte forward Boris Diaw, one of the key players in the proposed Anthony blockbuster. The Raptors thought they had finalized a deal for Diaw over the summer, but Charlotte owner Michael Jordan reportedly nixed it at the 11th hour.
Via NY Daily News

While I'm not a fan of Diaw, a deal surrounding Diaw and Jose Calderon makes sense for both teams. Bobcats get a starting caliber PG while the Raptors save money at the cost of creating a bigger logjam at the 4 spot. Diaw used to be able the play the 3 spot.

So this little NY Daily News blurb got me thinking. The Melo 4 way trade scenario had the Jazz receiving Diaw for Kirilenko, mainly due to luxury tax savings. Since I don't think Diaw is a fit on a team like the Raptors, here is my 3 team idea involving the Raptors, Jazz and the Bobcats.

NBA Elite 11 Delayed

This year, we set extremely ambitious goals for our new franchise, NBA ELITE. We are creating a game that will introduce several breakthrough features that have been missing from the basketball genre. Unfortunately, NBA ELITE 11 is not yet ready and we have made a decision to delay next month’s launch. We are going to keep working until we’re certain we can deliver a breakthrough basketball experience.

In the meantime, the NBA season is just around the corner and we have a plan to keep our consumers close to the action:

-NBA JAM will launch on the Wii, as scheduled, on October 5. NBA JAM won recognition this summer as the best sports game at E3 and it’s a blast to play. In addition to the Wii version, we’re going to ship NBA JAM as a standalone product on the Xbox360 and PS3 in time for the holidays. Watch for more news soon on the exact timing of that release.

-For NBA LIVE 10 players, we will continue to offer free content and services throughout the 2010-11 season. We will start with a new roster update so you get all the players for the new season, free of charge. We will also provide free Dynamic DNA updates, daily, for the entire season. That’s a full season of basketball with new rosters and updates, free.

The decision to delay NBA ELITE was hard because the game has great promise. But ultimately we feel this is the right thing to do. We’ve been making steady progress on basketball for the past few years and it’s going to take extra time to make the game.

Why make this decision now? As with all of our titles, we continue to evaluate and improve the code right up until launch. Feedback from consumers is a very important part of the process . NBA ELITE had the benefit of play-testing, a demo and a lot of our own research. All that feedback revealed some concerns about gameplay polish, so we’ve listened to your feedback, and made a judgment that the game would benefit from more time in development.

I want to thank our NBA ELITE development team for their efforts to meet this year’s lofty goals, and we’re behind them as they continue their work. While no one is happy with this delay, we appreciate the support and ongoing feedback from our fans. We’ll have more information coming soon.

Nash Would Play For Canada If Triano Was Still The Coach?

Nash sang the praises of Raptors coach Jay Triano to Barbosa — “He also said if he was a coach he would have come back,” Barbosa said Nash told him about Triano, referring to the Canadian national team — and tried to welcome him to his country.
Via National Post
Did he tell you anything about Jay Triano? "The thing that he told me when I think you guys wanted him to make a part of the national team was that he was so close with the coach that the time he went with the national team it was because of the coach. He also said if (Triano) was a coach he would have come back. He said that he's a good coach that I would like."
Via Raptorblog

I've always speculated this was the case but this is the first time I've seen it in the papers. Or maybe my memory is fuzzy. I can only imagine how much it would have helped Canada Basketball's Senior Men's program and the game in Canada. I guess the clip below explains the sad state of the Senior Men's National Team.

Not to worry though as Canada does have young NBA caliber talent like Thompson, Joseph, Pangos, Kabongo, Birch, Wiltjer, Olynyk, Wiggins etc coming up through the program. No more Ryan Bell and Aaron Doornekamp in a couple of years.

Latest On Melo Trade

UPDATE:

The four-team blockbuster trade that would have landed Carmelo Anthony in New Jersey has died and the Nets have ended their pursuit of the superstar for the time being.

A source said the Nets "need some closure on the matter" and are pulling out of the chase for Anthony "at least for now."

Via Adrian Wojnarowski/Yahoo! Sports (via Twitter)

According to Sam Amick, Jason Kidd cautioned Carmelo Anthony against viewing the Nets as a suitable alternative to the Knicks in the New York market.

Amick also reports that the Knicks would have to deal almost all of their young talent -- including Anthony Randolph, Danilo Gallinari, Toney Douglas and Wilson Chandler -- in order to make a trade for Anthony now. In one proposed trade, Chandler would have gone to Houston in a multi-team deal involving the Rockets.

The price tag, however, could come down around the February trade deadline and the Knicks may be hoping that Anthony falls to them as a free agent next summer.

Read more: Via Fanhouse

An NBA source said that Carmelo Anthony's arrival for media day in Denver on Monday would mean that the proposed trade to send him to New Jersey is dead.

The Nuggets are reportedly shopping Anthony to alternative suitors like Philadelphia for Andre Iguodala and Golden State for Stephen Curry. It is not clear whether Anthony would agree to sign a contract extension with either team. But it is possible that the Sixers would be willing to make a move for Anthony without an extension, in order to shed the long-term contract of Iguodala.

Via Denver Post

A source connected to the ongoing trade discussions involving Carmelo Anthony said that there is "better than a 50 percent chance" that a trade will be completed within the next 24-48 hours.

William Wesley met with Jay-Z last week in New York to help set the stage for Anthony's arrival with the Nets, said a person with direct knowledge of the meeting.

While the Nuggets want to talk to Anthony directly, sources familiar with his position think that the team's attempt to change his mind about leaving Denver will be futile.

Any positive comments Anthony may make to the media on Monday are likely to be spin rather than actually indicating an open mind about remaining in Denver.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets are not sure they want to accept Derrick Favors as the centerpiece in a trade of their superstar.

My 4 Team Melo-To-Nets Trade Idea

It seems like there is a hold up between some of the teams involved in the recent 'Melo trade rumours... namely the Jordancats with their refusal to part with DJ Augustine even though they are the one benefitting the most in that 4 team deal considering they are only giving up the French Pastry...

... aka the Pillsbury Diawboy for Devin Harris. Unlike the failed Chandler deal, Charlotte is NOT a critical component to the 4 team Melo trade. Which means they can be replaced by any other team in the league.

I also would like to ask why the Nets are also moving Harris in the same deal when they DON'T need to? Why create a hole at the PG spot when it's one of the most important positions in the NBA today? Why not replace him with Troy Murphy? It creates a hole up front but 4's are a lot easier to find than 1's in the league. Not to mention that Harris has a bigger impact on the game.

So here is my proposal:

Trade:
Troy Murphy

Derrick Favors

Quinton
Ross
2012 1st Round Pick via Golden State

Receive:
Carmelo Anthony
Chris Wilcox

Trade:
Carmelo Anthony
Renaldo Balkman

Receive:
Derrick Favors
Andrei Kirilenko
2012 1st Round Pick via Golden State

Trade:
Andrei Kirilenko
Ronnie Price

Receive:
Troy Murphy
Renaldo Balkman

Trade:
Chris Wilcox

Receive:
Ronnie Price
Quinton Ross

The Pistons don't use Chris Wilcox and need another point guard on the roster. Troy Murphy makes a lot more sense for Utah both financially and fit wise on the team. Not to mention that pudgy Diaw won't get off the bench with Sloan coaching the team.

Wilcox isn't much but a starting lineup with Lopez, Wilcox, Carmelo, Williams and Harris is better than Lopez, Murphy, Carmelo, Williams and Farmar.

The funny thing is, what the Nets should have done was KEEP Yi rather than dump him for nothing as he is looking like a different player this summer at the FIBA World Championship. Atleast then they wouldn't have had problems filling the 4 spot following the Melo trade. All the 3M in extra cap space got them was Farmar, Outlaw, Petro and Morrow. Ok fine Morrow was a good signing but the rest were below average at best.

But am I really surprised? They have this man running the team now..

Trade Idea That Will Make Leo Rautins Go Bald

Finally this summer, the Raptors have increased their efforts in searching for a center.... I wonder what took Colangelo and his front office so long? From Araujo to trying to mold Bargnani into a 5, this team needed a center since Antonio Davis was moved to Chicago and almost all of their efforts in getting someone to play that spot at a reasonably high level has resulted in failure of epic proportions. Okay that maybe exaggerating it but the point still stands.

Even their trade efforts for a center have been futile as the Chandler deal was Larry Browned by Michael Jordan. The Raptors do have 1 rookie that is able to play the 5 in Alabi but he is currently very raw and as it stands now with the unfortunate Ed Davis injury, Andrea Bargnani and Amir Johnson would be the only bigs on the roster that would be a rotational player on a good team. Andersen, Dorsey, Alabi and Evans wont. Those are guys that play 5-10 minutes max.

Now in the Western Conference, the Kings seem to be loaded with bigs in Jason Thompson, Carl Landry, recently acquired Samuel Dalembert and rookies DeMarcus Cousins and Hassan Whiteside.

There is 96 minutes at the PF/C slots that can be divided up into those 5. Last year alone Carl Landry averaged 37.6 minutes in 28 games with the Kings, Jason Thompson with 31.4 minutes and Samuel Dalembert with 25.9 minutes with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Now I figure that their minutes will be cut to accommodate the two rookies but the minutes for those three alone from last season add up to 95 minutes. So somethings gotta give. DeMarcus Cousins requires minutes or you might have a potential problem on your hands, although I believe his off court problems was getting way too much press and were certainly blown out of proportion. Nevertheless, you want to avoid that situation with a new talented rookie like Cousins.

In addition, the Kings backcourt looks a little weak with the obvious exception of Tyreke Evans. Beno Udrih has played well beside Tyreke but is he really a starting caliber PG on a possible up and coming team in the West? Ever since he signed that MLE deal, his tags always read 'untradeable' and 'wildly overpaid' for a bench player.

From the brief moments when I actually paid attention in economics class, I distinctly remember a certain theory called Law of Diminishing Returns (or some shit like that). The law refers to how the marginal production of a factor of production (Kings' performance on the court) starts to progressively decrease as the factor is increased (Too many productive big's that need minutes), in contrast to the increase that would otherwise be normally expected.

The Kings won't be able to effectively utilize all their front court pieces so it doesn't make sense to keep them if they can use it to upgrade one of the seemingly weaker areas on the team, the PG spot. They are also the 7th worst team in the league in terms of taking care of the ball.

The same theory can also be applied to the Raptors with their PG situation. They have Jarrett Jack, who looks to be the starter, and Jose Calderon, the A/TO king. Both are starting caliber point guards but there isn't enough minutes to maximize both players. And playing them together is a big no-no because they repeatedly failed over and over again last season.

So its no surprise that the Raptors are shopping Jose Calderon. Good locker room guy and a steady offensive player on an expensive contract. However he has problems on the defensive end, which could be covered up when he has rim protectors (which the Kings have) to cover him.

So here is my idea:

Trade:
Jose Calderon
Reggie Evans

David Andersen

Marcus Banks

Receive:
Samuel Dalembert
Beno Udrih
Francisco Garcia
